In-situ projects aren’t always large-scale. Discover our SPIN® Manual – the ideal solution for high-precision injection work in tight or restricted spaces.
As part of the redevelopment of a former industrial site a preliminary phase of remediation is to be carried out. The remediation company contacted INJECTIS to focus on low-permeability zones contaminated with chlorinated solvents in groundwater.
As part of a study on the degradation of chlorinated solvents, INJECTIS was contacted to perform injections into a fractured and highly compacted marine aquitard, reaching depths of up to 35 meters below ground level.
Given the presence of calcareous marl, the contractor had initially never considered a treatment with direct injections. Injectis once again proves the effectiveness of the SPIN® injection technology for this type of geology.
Heavy metals in groundwater can be of various origins. Understanding the solubilisation mechanisms is crucial to find the most effective treatment method.

Sometimes, to treat the pollutants, you need first to liberate them
